Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit. The wetsuit policy for elite athletes shall be determined by the USAT Athletes Advisory Council. Full set of USAT rules can be found at http://www.usatriathlon.org Packet pick-up rules
When picking up your race packet, which includes your bib, t-shirt and goodie bag, you must bring picture ID and USAT card if you are an annual member. ONLY the racer can pick up his or her race packet. Sorry, no exceptions. This is per USAT rules. If you are registering in person at packet pick-up locations, only cash or check made out to TRIWNY can be accepted. What age group do I fall into?!
Be sure to understand that whatever your age is on December 31, 2010 is the age group and "wave" that the timing system will put you in. If you are 49 on race day and turn 50 Oct 14th, 2010, the computer sees you as 50 and you will be placed in the 50 year old wave. If you start the race in the wave of 49 year olds your time will be off, considering your "chip time" will start in the 50 year old wave. Please be sure you are starting the race in the proper waves based on your age as of December 31, 2010.
